MEMO is a local-first visual memory assistant that remembers where things are, answers everyday questions, and brings a trusted person to help when it matters.
~100 words
MEMO is a local-first visual memory assistant built by a Seattle-based team, including local students, for the NVIDIA Spark Hackathon Seattle 2026 — which the team won. Worn on smart glasses, MEMO remembers where everyday items like keys or a wallet were last placed, answers simple questions hands-free, and brings a trusted family member into the loop when human judgment matters more than an automated answer. Every part of the system — perception, speech, reasoning, and memory — runs locally on a single Acer GN100, so nothing is sent to the cloud. MEMO explores how wearable AI can support older adults' everyday memory and independence while keeping trusted family within reach.
